Dr. Pearse Phelan will carry out your assessment and determine if you are a suitable candidate for the procedure. The procedure will be explained fully and you are then able to take the information away to decide if you would like to proceed. The information pack will include details of Prof Kamami’s qualifications, the procedure and follow up care. If you decide to continue, you can book in for the procedure with Prof. Kamami. On the procedure day, you will be met by Prof. Kamami and Dr. Phelan who will review you briefly again and who will both be with you throughout the procedure.

Absolutely not. We are here to advise you about your problem and your options. We will explain all aspects of the procedure and give you information to take away with you. The decision is then up to you.

No, you will sound the same as before the procedure

Yes, we will have you drinking water before you leave the clinic.

Yes, we prefer you to bring a family member with you. It will help with the assessment and it’s nice for you to have some support. If you would prefer to come alone, then that’s fine too.

Naturally, it depends on lots of things, but the rule of thumb is 2-3 weeks from the consultations. This is sometimes changeable and we will always do our best to fit in with your diary and timetable.

Our treatments are not covered by health insurance. However, you may be able to recoup some of the cost by contacting Revenue and enquiring about the MED1 form. Please see www.revenue.ie for more information.

Unfortunately, we do not accept medical cards or offer payment plans.
