Will the doctor explain exact details & potential success of my procedure?
Dr. Pearse Phelan will carry out your assessment and determine if you are a suitable candidate for the procedure. The procedure will be explained fully and you are then able to take the information away to decide if you would like to proceed. On the procedure day, you will be met by Prof. Kamami and Dr. Phelan who will review you briefly again and who will both be with you throughout the procedure.

No, you will sound the same as before the procedure.
Will I be able to swallow properly?
Yes, we will have you drinking water before you leave the clinic.

Naturally, it depends on lots of things, but the rule of thumb is 2-3 weeks from the consultations. This is sometimes changeable and we will always do our best to fit in with your diary and timetable.
